GHPR 540 People and Houses This course particularly emphasizes changes in the interior of the American house as mirrors of the needs and expectations of its owners. The discussion will focus on the sweeping cultural and societal changes of the last 300 years that will help students understand changes in living patterns in which privacy, status, domesticity, and technological advances played a significant role. This is also an intensive writing class for first-year graduate students in the Historic Preservation program.
