PAS 710i Elective Clinical Rotation II


The Elective Clinical Rotation 2 stresses hospital/ambulatory specialty care, emphasizing discipline-specific medical problems in non-primary care medicine. This course is designed to introduce the student to an elective area of medical specialty by introducing the student to discipline-specific skills, clinical evaluation, documentation, diagnosis, and treatment of problems within a specialty area of practice. The primary learning methods will come from participation in direct hospital/ambulatory specialty care, observation, case presentations, and interaction with the clinical preceptor and other healthcare professionals. The student is responsible for reading assigned by the preceptor. Students will be primarily supervised by practicing physicians whom are specialty board certified in their area of instruction and/or PA-Cs teamed with the aforementioned physicians.

Credit 4 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
