MATH 512 Abstract Algebra An introduction to the theory and concepts of abstract algebra. Topics from group theory: subgroups, cosets, Lagrange’s Theorem, homomorphisms. Also selected topics from ring theory and field theory. Experience in writing proofs is assumed.
