EMBA 601 Data Analytics for Business Decisions This course introduces business analytic, quantitative methods as a decision science tool, focusing on both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in making business decisions. There is an emphasis on analytical model building, real-world data sets, and statistical software. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, sampling distributions, point estimation, one and two-sample confidence intervals and hypothesis tests, ANOVA, chi-square tests, and simple and multiple regression. In addition, the course introduces forecast models, instrumental variables, synthetic controls, elasticity estimation, regression discontinuities, and dummy variables. Finally, the course focuses on business applications using real-world data to solve real business problems.
