EMBA 607 Managerial Accounting This course uses a project-based learning approach for learning financial and managerial accounting fundamentals. It emphasizes analyzing and evaluating accounting information from investors’ and managers’ perspectives in planning, decision-making, and control. This course’s objective will be to provide an overview of financial accounting and external reporting, including the structure of the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows and ratios analysis. The course also introduces managerial accounting elements and emphasizes the development and use of accounting information for internal decisions. Topics include cost-volume-profit analysis, flexible budgeting, Capital budgeting, Time value of money, and forecasting. This course is recommended for students who will use accounting information to make strategic decisions or seek a broad understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
