NURS 512 Advanced Health Assessment for Non-APRNs For the Non-APRN student, this course focuses on advanced history taking, psychosocial assessment, and physical assessment skills across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on obtaining a detailed health history, obtaining and differentiating between normal and abnormal physical assessment findings, and professional documentation of all.
Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation Fall, Winter, and Summer (in-person and online)
Prerequisites - Restriction by Major - Nursing Education [MSN] , Nursing – Clinical Research Nursing [MSN] Restriction by Degree Type - Graduate standing
Additional Information - 1) RN to BSN students may request to take this course as an elective with department permission 2) Students enrolled in Clinical Nurse Specialists (MSN or DNP) or Nurse Practitioner (MSN or DNP) programs are not allowed to register for this course, as the course will not meet program requirements.
