CAE 538 Advanced Mechanics of Materials This course covers advanced knowledge of mechanics of materials. The emphasis will be given to the practical treatments of stress, strain, deformation, thin shells, thick-walled vessels, flexural stresses, theory of failure and contract stresses that are important in engineering design. A term project is included for students to apply theories into practical industrial applications.
