CHL 583 Children’s Illustrated Texts This course examines different kinds of illustrated texts aimed at children and young readers. Primarily, the class looks at the picture book, its historical development, current illustrators and theories of illustration. The class also examines associated genres such as the comic book and graphic novel and considers theoretical issues concerning illustration in general.
