AGIN 518 Introduction to Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia This introductory course provides an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, the clinical features of progressive dementias, and impact on quality-of-life issues for families and individuals with dementia. Emphasis is placed on developing meaningful relations with persons with dementia and exploring innovative programs and services designed to accommodate dementia-related changes throughout the continuum of illness.
