WGST 528 Technology, Gender and Pop Culture The application of pop cultural theory and practice provides in-depth understanding about the impact of technology on cultural definitions of masculine and feminine identity. Critical examination of film, literature and material culture, reflects ideas about whether technologies are themselves gendered and how gendered perceptions and stereotypes promoted by technological ideologies reveal individual and community values.
