ECE 651 Inclusive Programs


This course prepares early childhood teachers to teach young children with exceptional needs in early childhood or early childhood special education classrooms. It addresses special education history, theory, models, and laws about young children, inclusive curriculum, assessment, and family approaches, teaming and collaboration, and managing challenging behavior in natural settings. Therefore, a minimum of ten clinical hours is required.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation Fall, Winter, and Summer (online)

Prerequisites -
Restriction by Major - Early Childhood Education [M.A.]  
Restriction by Degree Type - Masters standing

Additional Information - The course may only fulfill Early Childhood Education [M.A.]  requirements if the student earns a “C” or above grade.
