LITR 181 The Legacy of Greece An introduction to Greek epic, drama, poetry, history and philosophy, illustrating the influence of the Greek tradition on Western civilization. The literature is read in English translation. Representative examples of Greek architecture and sculpture also are examined. Team taught by a classicist and/or a member of the English Department. This course satisfies one literature requirement.
