CRM 502 Miscarriages of Justice This course examines the causes and consequences of the wrongful conviction of innocent individuals within the American criminal justice system. The course focuses on three broad topics: 1. The flaws and mistakes that can lead to the wrongful conviction of innocent people; 2. The mechanisms by which these mistakes are brought to light and remedies that can reduce their occurrences; and 3. The consequences of a wrongful conviction for the innocent individuals affected.
