COUN 570 Diagnosing and Treating Depressed Clients in Counseling This course will focus on the etiology, assessment and treatment of unipolar depression in counseling. Emphasis will be placed on the application of the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria in assessing for depression and on the use of cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy, and pharmacological treatment interventions.
