COMM 551 Communicating Politics and Power This course explores the determinants, content, and effects of political rhetoric. It uses rhetorical theory to understand the communicative strategies of specific advertisements, campaigns, etc. Through topics in contemporary politics, this course positions students to understand the way media, message, and politics combine to move audiences and shape democracy.
