Coastal Environments Minor

|
The Coastal Environments Minor is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify and asses coastal environmental problems. The required core courses integrated principles and methodologies from geology and oceanography, and provide a comprehensive education in process and features that characterize coastal areas. Elective courses allow students to gain an interdisciplinary view of issues that confront coastal settings and communities. This is an ideal complimentary minor for students majoring in other disciplines and interested in geoscience, marine science, environmental science, environmental planning, GIS and remote sensing, and related fields. Students majoring in Earth Science should consult with an advisor before electing this minor.
