Admission Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Admission to EMU Graduate School (Criteria).
- A Bachelors Degree from a 4 year accredited institution.
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- Physical Education Teaching Certification.

School of Health Promotion & Human Performance - College of Health and Human Services
Degree Requirements: 33 hours
To earn a Master of Science in Physical Education Pedagogy degree, students must complete a minimum of 33 hours form the following.
Pedagogy Emphasis Area Courses: 15 hours
Suggested Elective Courses: 6-13 hours
Six to thirteen hours selected in consultation with a graduate advisor.
Cognate Courses: 0-4 hours
Select in consultation with a graduate academic advisor. Possibilities include graduate level courses in Curriculum, Psychology, Dietetics, Sport Management, Health, Special Education, etc.
