Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Entertainment Management students develop innovative and entrepreneurial skills in managing visual and performing arts projects, businesses, and organizations. Students are challenged by hands-on management experiences in classes and professional internships at creative businesses and organizations.
Learn
Skills are developed in both the aesthetics of art and the practice of business. Courses include accounting, advertising, data literacy, public relations, law and public policy, marketing, program development, fundraising, entrepreneurship and a series of arts courses in art, film, music, and theatre.
Opportunities
Student-led and developed projects are introduced early through an academic service-learning assignment in the first introductory class where students plan and implement campus arts events. These projects are managed by an active student organization and have included coffee houses, DIY pop-up events, concerts, gallery shows, and community engagement projects. Additional applied learning opportunities include two semester-long internships at professional cultural organizations and cultural travel courses to professional conferences and city cultural tours.
