In order to become successful in an international setting, you need to have distinct professional language skills and gain in-depth knowledge of transcultural competencies. The Bachelor of Arts in Language and International Careers - German is designed to integrate the study of modern foreign languages with international cultures, business, politics, and economics to prepare students for exciting, global careers.
Learn
You will learn the skills and knowledge needed to function in a global environment and professional dealings. You will learn to communicate and negotiate with people and clients who speak foreign languages. Students are advised to select a minor that complements international and business expertise. The program offers learning experiences by studying abroad and in local, multicultural and international internships.
Opportunities
With a degree in Languages and International Careers, you will be working in international careers in health and social services, translation and interpretation agencies, in the fields of international communication and information services, science, the arts, education, foreign service, government, business – particularly the German-American Automotive industry – general automotive industry in Michigan, banking, and tourism.
