Quantitative Reasoning [GEQR]
Quantitative reasoning skills are required in almost every major and professional program, as well as in personal and professional life. Students need quantitative literacy to function in society. Common examples include managing one’s own finances (e.g., credit card debt), reading and understanding the newspaper, and informed voting.
- Your major may require additional or specific quantitative reasoning course(s). It is essential that you choose MATH/GEQR courses in coordination with your advisor.
- All pre-requisite courses in sequences must be completed with a C or better to advance to the next course in the sequence. To find out more information regarding math placement go to emich.edu/math/placement/.
