Program Admission


Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Admission to EMU Graduate School (Criteria).
  2. A Bachelors Degree from a 4 year accredited institution.
  3. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Physical Education Teaching Certification.

Degree Requirements: 33 hours


To earn a Master of Science in Physical Education Pedagogy degree, students must complete a minimum of 33 hours form the following. 

Core Courses: 8-12 hours


Cognate Courses: 0-4 hours


Select in consultation with a graduate academic advisor. Possibilities include graduate level courses in Curriculum, Psychology, Dietetics, Sport Management, Health, Special Education, etc.
