The Bachelor of Business Administration in Management prepares students for a variety of leadership roles in the business world. Earning the Bachelor of Business Administration with a Management Major or a Management Major with an HR Concentration, you’ll learn about all aspects of business through the business core classes plus you will learn about important management skills, management responsibility, and ethics, organizational change, and team building. There are also many electives covering areas such as international management, managerial communication, entrepreneurship, and human resource management functional areas, including staffing, training, labor relations, compensation, etc. Your courses use real-world exercises and case studies to bring home the concepts being taught.
Opportunities
While pursuing this degree, students are encouraged to participate in one of our national, award-winning clubs such as the Society for Human Resource Management (EMU SHRM) or the CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization) club. There are also many paid internship opportunities available, especially in HR.
Many graduates with a Management major begin as management trainees or assistant managers with advancement opportunities leading to higher management positions. Advancement in management is often much quicker than in more technical fields.
