SCM professionals create value for businesses by coordinating the above activities efficiently. They are analytical, organized, logical, and have the ability to apply quantitative reasoning to situations. They also work with diverse groups of people both within and outside of their company.
Opportunities
Every organization has a supply chain, regardless of its size or markets because all companies purchase and provide goods and services. Michigan as the busiest international border crossing in North America with the state’s top three trading partners being Canada, Mexico, and China. SCM graduates may work here is Southeast Michigan or globally depending upon their placement. And SCM graduates are in demand – in any given week, over 1000 SCM related jobs are open in the greater Detroit/Southeast Michigan market.
