Hispanic Language and Cultures [Graduate Certificate]

Revised Program [Fall 2020]

The Graduate Certificate program in Hispanic Language and Cultures is designed to assist candidates in attaining high levels of skill in the Spanish language and greater knowledge of Hispanic cultures. Successful students will gain greater competence in both oral and written expression as well as enhance their knowledge of selected facets of Hispanic life through analysis of current cultural patterns, including those of business and technology.

Program Admission

Applicants must meet the minimum Graduate School admission requirements (see Graduate Admissions or International Admissions) and complete a Graduate Application.

Degree Requirements: 15 hours

Required Courses: 9 hours

Restricted Elective Courses: 6 hours

Choose six credit hours from the following. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with their Spanish advisor before selecting courses. Please note, some of the courses listed have prerequisite requirements.
