Quality Improvement in Health Care [Graduate Certificate]

This certificate focuses on learning key concepts in monitoring, evaluating, and sustaining quality improvement efforts in health care settings. Course work examines theories, strategies, and research related to quality improvement in health care systems. In the practicum, the student is given an opportunity to synthesize previous learning and function in the role of quality improvement specialist under the mentorship of select expert preceptors.

Admission Requirements

Minimum Graduate School Requirements

A four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution. In addition, a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program, is required for full admission. Applicants who do not meet minimum admission requirements may be considered for conditional admission. See International Admissions for international applicant requirements.

For those students pursuing both an MSN degree and this certificate, you will need to submit separate applications for each program. You will also be required to complete separate applications for graduation.
