Applied Voice Lessons Placement for Musical Theatre
|
|
- Musical Theatre students are not required to sing at a Music & Dance Audition Day to take Applied Voice Lessons with Music Faculty (AMUS 115A or AMUS 115B ).
- Instead, they will sing at EMU Theatre Scholarship Auditions for the Musical Theatre Faculty. For EMU Theatre Audition dates, go to emich.edu/cmta/productions.
- However, Musical Theatre students who wish to register for AMUS 115A (first round of Applied Voice Lessons with Music Faculty) or AMUS 115B (second round of Applied Voice Lessons with Music Faculty) will follow this process:
- To request Applied Lessons with Music Faculty, students will notify their Musical Theatre Advisor by March 31 to request Applied Lessons for Fall semesters and November 30 for Winter semesters.
- Musical Theatre Advisors will submit requests to the Voice Area Coordinator for the Fall semester by April 1 and Winter semester requests by December 1. Requests submitted past the deadlines will not be considered.
- Please note that Musical Theatre students are required to take a total of FOUR (4) courses in Applied Voice: TWO (2) with Theatre Faculty and TWO (2) with Music Faculty.
