COSC 472 - Big Data I Data sets are growing at an exponential rate; examples come from social networks, business, and health care. This course introduces students to issues of storing and analyzing large data sets. Topics include data sharing and distributed database algorithms. Students will also learn programming of non-relational database systems (NoSQL models).
