ENGL 408W - Writing for Secondary Teachers [GEWI]


A writing course for students preparing to teach in various disciplines in secondary schools. Students develop their skills as writers and learn how to teach writing in all content areas. Special focus on recent composition research, theory, and practices, and on strategies, materials and evaluation techniques.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation

Prerequisite(s) ENGL 300W  and WRTG 328W 
Initial Teacher Preparation Program admission is required for enrollment in this course.

Students who do not meet prerequisite requirements may request instructor permission to enroll in the course. 10-hour practicum required - see instructor.
