MATH 425 - Mathematics for Scientists The scientific applications of mathematics. Topics chosen will reflect the interests of the class. Possible areas of study include Fourier series and transforms, complex variables, generalized functions, Laplace transform, Bessel functions, curve fitting, partial differential equations and the calculus of variations. A record of topics studied each semester will be kept in the mathematics files.
