PHED 306 - Methods of Teaching Games and Activities in Physical Education I


This course will utilize several instructional models in Physical Education to prepare students in applied developmental theory, curriculum, instruction and assessment in the upper elementary and secondary Physical Education classroom settings. Students will become familiar with the theory and practice of teaching net/wall and target games through the Tactical Games Approach, Teaching Personal & Social Responsibility and other key Physical Education instructional models in a secondary setting through field experiences in controlled and dynamic school-based settings.

Credit 2 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
