PHY 229 - Strength and Elasticity of Materials
Fundamental principles of mechanics applied to solids. Equilibrium, elasticity, stress and strain, generalized Hooke’s Law, tension, torsion, shear, bending, deflection of beams, theory of columns and strain energy.
