SOCL 352 - Sociology of Education Using the traditional lecture method combined with small-group interactive exercises, this course will systematically examine the institution of American public education by focusing on the interplay between education, its social history, gender and race, environment, social control, ideology, the school in a global economy, and social structure in the formation and procession of schooling through a variety of theoretical scopes.
