EXSC 380W - Exercise and Sport Psychology [GEWI] This course focuses on the ways in which psychological variables interact with participation and performance in exercise and sport. While the course covers a wide range of topics – e.g., personality, motivation, stress, anxiety, group and team dynamics, leadership, communication, goal setting, addictive behaviors, recovery from injury, burnout, and overtraining – there is specific emphasis on behavioral theory as a means of better understanding exercise program adherence and behavior modification.
