SPAI 220 - Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders This course will help students develop an understanding of the theoretical and practical terminology, definition and characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), forming the foundation for further study. Students will be exposed to a variety of information and experiences to build a thorough understanding of the definition of ASD (both theoretical and operational), the neurological processing component of ASD (including conceptual frameworks to organize and define processing skills), exclusionary clause variable, and current definitions and identification models.
