Introduction to the major components of French linguistics, including phonology (sound System), morphology (word formation), semantics (meaning), syntax (the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language) and sociolinguistics (the descriptive study of the effect of any and all aspects of society). In French.
