ME 435 - Computational Solid Mechanics The objective of this course is to introduce the theory of the finite element method (FEM). This course is delivered with an emphasis on using FEM as a solid mechanics analysis tool. 1D and 2D finite element formulations will be discussed and FEA software will be used to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
