PHIL 494 - Topics in Chinese Philosophy This course focuses on some aspect of the Chinese philosophical tradition, whether it be a specific philosopher, time period, sub-tradition, or topic, such as early Daoism, Neo-Confucianism, aesthetics, Confusious, Chines Buddhism, nature in the tradition, etc. Students learn how to do high-level research that engages ideas not only within the tradition but across traditions.
Credit 3 hrs May be repeated for additional credit (provided topics are different), total credits not to exceed 6 hrs Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation
Prerequisite(s) One PHIL course (100-499, excluding PHIL 120 and PHIL 130 ) Class-Level Restriction Undergraduate standing
