IT 367 - Application Server Administration
The Application Server plays an integral role in the Web architecture by offloading considerable processing that was otherwise handled by the Web server in the early days of the Web, as well as more modern functionality. This includes failover, clustering, digital certificates setup, access control, application deployment, and others.
