SPGN 462 - Positive Behavioral Supports in School, Family, and Community Students will develop their knowledge and skills to use human management strategies, approaches, and techniques for effective classroom management for students with disabilities and typically achieving students. Topics include behavioral theories, types of problem behaviors, precursors and antecedents of promoting behavioral issues, proactive and preventive behavior management strategies, various intervention strategies for diverse individual’s behaviors, and positive behavioral supports and individualized interventions. Roles and responsibilities of students, teachers, multidisciplinary professionals, families, and other school personnel are discussed.
