DTC 302 Nutrient Metabolism: Macronutrients


The biochemical and metabolic processing of dietary carbohydrates, fats and proteins, as well as their functions within the human body. Emphasis is on the biochemical reactions involved in nutrient digestion, absorption and metabolism, including their relationships to nutrition status, human heath and disease.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit

Prerequisites - DTC 202 with a “C” or higher  and (CHEM 351 with a “C” or higher  or CHEM 120 with a “C” or higher )
