JRNL 455 Journalism Law and Ethics An advanced professional course exploring legal and ethical issues surrounding journalism. Topics will include defamation of character, invasion of privacy, copyright, conflicts between the press and the courts, hate speech, obscenity, access to government records, broadcast regulations and various forms of censorship, as well as conflicts of interest, fairness and professional conduct.
