ME 317 Fluid Mechanics The theory and application of introductory fluid mechanics including hydrostatics, control volume and differential analysis for mass and momentum, dimensional analysis and similarity, incompressible flows, viscous flow in ducts, and flow past immersed bodies. Course consists of 3 major exams and one group project. Will discuss various applications to Mechanical Engineering systems including automobiles, aircraft, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
