PHIL 493W Comparative Philosophy [GEWI]


In this course, students engage methodological issues of comparative philosophy, such as commensurability, interpretation, and relativism. Students will read works that consider ideas from diverse traditions of time periods, such as Daoism, Advaita Vedanta, Platonism, Modern philosophy, and contemporary philosophy, learning both the issues and skills of the filed.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation once every two years.

Prerequisites - One PHIL course (100-499, excluding PHIL 120  and PHIL 130 )
