CIVE 341 Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory Performing various laboratory tests such as water content, using sieve and hydrometer for grain distribution, analysis and specific gravity, liquid and plastic limit, Hydraulic conductivity test including both constant and falling head tests, and direct shear test. Demonstration of boring logs, soil profiles preparation, one-dimensional consolidation test, unconfined compressive strength or UU triaxial test. The test will run according to the procedures and standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
