DTC 233 Fundamentals in Nutrition Therapy Students will be introduced to fundamental concepts of the significance of Nutrition screening and Nutrition Assessment: anthropometric and body composition measures; the significance of biochemical and medical tests; nutrition-focused physical examination; estimation of energy and protein requirements. Additional topics: blood and its components; fluids and electrolytes; pharmacology as it relates to drug-nutrient interactions.
Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for Additional Credit Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation Summer
