NURS 836 Advanced Practice Roles and Leadership This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of the roles and development of an Advanced Practice Nurse, specifically emphasizing the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Nurse Practitioner. Concepts include the historical, political, legal, social, and ethical aspects of Advanced Practice Nursing. One of the primary aims of this course is to assist the student in beginning the socialization process into the new role of a DNP-prepared nurse.

Prerequisites - Restriction by Major - DNP-GCNS , DNP-PCNP , DNP , GPNM , PCNP Restriction by Degree Type - Graduate standing
