BIO 358 - Germs, Plagues and Human Infections This course provides the nonscientist with a basic understanding of the biology of human infectious diseases. The course uses lecture, discussion and small group activities to examine the biology of microbes and of human defenses, the evolution of infectious disease, the history of epidemics and current issues in infectious diseases.
