SPCI 350L2 Introduction to Cognitive Impairment [GELB] This course will be deleted effective Fall 2023 and replaced with SPCI 360 .
Introduction to the field of cognitive impairment (ci). Integral to this course is the Recreation Activities Project, where the EMU student is matched with a young adult with ci, to spend time in the community. In addition to learning about the history, terminology and causes of ci, philosophies influencing education practice and life management approaches are presented.
