DTC 422 Nutrient Metabolism: Micronutrients The role of vitamins and minerals in biochemical pathways. Students will examine their role(s) in energy producing pathways, in deficiencies, and disease states. Students will examine the toxic effects of consuming excess vitamins and minerals. They will analyze current scientific information and critically evaluate nutrition information.

Prerequisites - DTC 302 with a “C” or higher Restriction by Major - Dietetics [BS] (Phased-Out), Dietetics Combined [BS + MS] , Human Nutrition Minor Restriction by Class - Junior, Senior, or Second Bachelor standing
