THRC 330 Therapeutic Recreation in Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorders The use of recreation and leisure in the treatment and/or prevention, and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders. Evidence-based practices like skill development in leisure education, group dynamics, facilitation techniques, communication, values clarification, decision-making, games and sports, socialization, outdoor/nature techniques, and family leisure education. Lectures, discussions, experiential learning.
